Inter-ministry Working Group on Equal Treatment Issues

The Federal Equal Treatment Act, which was enacted on 12 February 1993, stipulates that no one shall be discriminated against on grounds of sex in connection with an employment or training relationship.

At the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry the Inter-ministry Working Group for Equal Treatment Issues was established by the former Federal Minister Franz Fischler on 21 July 1993.

The task of this working group is to receive requests, complaints, reports or suggestions of individual employees or to respond to them. In case of suspected discrimination it shall report it immediately to the administrative authority.
