New, mass-produced stable systems and new technical equipment for animal husbandry must undergo a mandatory official approval process. The regulation also regulates the carrying out of evaluations of mass-produced husbandry systems and stable facilities in accordance with Section 18 of the Animal Welfare Act in order to obtain an animal welfare label.
