Within the framework of this new project, the FarmLife Welfare Index system will be implemented on a large number of cattle farms. The results will be used to draw further conclusions regarding the categorization of the achieved scores and the development of threshold values. Based on larger datasets and experience gained during data collection, adjustments to the scoring system and the data collection parameters within the tool are also possible. A further objective is the adaptation of the existing system for dairy farming to include the production categories of heifers, beef cattle, and calves, and the technical implementation of the tool for these production categories within the FarmLife farm management software.
