Organic dairy farming - why?
Ecological and therefore sustainable cattle breeding must be geared towards high life performance and good fitness of the animals. Healthy cows that, above all, efficiently refine the company's own grassland feed (pasture feed, hay, grass silage, etc.) that cannot be used directly by humans are necessary. Breeding not only influences performance, feeding, animal health, animal husbandry, animal welfare, product quality and the economics of cattle farming, but also has significant influences on our environment.
The following area of the homepage is aimed at all people who are concerned with questions about organic cattle breeding (farmers, consultants, teachers, etc.) and who also need bull recommendation lists.
- Bull recommendations for Fleckvieh and Brown Swiss according to the ecological breeding value (ÖZW)
- Bull recommendations for Holstein (black and red butt), Simmental cattle etc. from Ökologie Tierzucht GmbH (ÖTZ)
- Bull recommendations from the Austrian Working Group. Lifetime breeder
- Bull recommendations from the European Association for Natural Cattle Breeding
- Select bulls according to your own criteria
