General information about compulsory internships

The compulsory practice of the 5-year training includes:

•   4 weeks at the end of 2nd grade
• 14 weeks at the end of 3rd grade
•   4 weeks at the end of 4th grade

The compulsory practice of the 3-year advanced course includes:

• 4 weeks at the end of 2nd grade

In the practical "Meat Processing" lesson, the basics for the direct marketing of meat products on the farm are taught. During processing, the students have the opportunity to examine the breeding goals and breeding successes of the animals in terms of meat quality.

The aim of the teaching subject “Applied Computer Science” is to solve general, job-related problems using modern electronic tools.

During our lessons we are allowed to fish in the school's own biotope and in the fish ponds of the Rieger fish restaurant in Trautenfels, and by arrangement also in the club waters of the Irdning fishing club.

In the optional subject “Production and Presentation”, the topics of food processing are discussed in more detail with the students. Whenever high-profile events take place at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, this group of teachers and students is required to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.
