From feeding to marketing - goat conference 2019

2019 goat conference 04On November 15, 2019, the specialist conference for goat farming took place for the 9th time. This conference alternates every two years with the specialist conference for sheep farming. Dr. Ferdinand Ringdorfer, head of the sheep and goats department and responsible for the conference, was able to welcome numerous practitioners, consultants, association officials and students at this, his last goat conference. From a technical point of view, a wide range was covered from breeding, economic efficiency, animal health, ecology, feeding to marketing. The practitioners also had their say and two companies presented how they keep goats in everyday life. As is tradition, this year there was once again a dish with fawn meat from our own production for lunch, which was excellently prepared by the school kitchen. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this conference.
