The program comprises four main blocks:
- Greening on and around the building: vertical and roof greening, sustainable rainwater management and practical greening examples.
- Greening of permeable surfaces: use of vegetated surfaces, gravel lawns, use of areas for biodiversity and greening of tram tracks.
- Experience reports: Flowering areas in cities, regional wild plant mixtures and other practical reports.
- Knowledge transfer: Raising awareness of biodiversity, regional seed mixtures and activities to promote biodiversity.
The event is being held in cooperation with the University of Agricultural and Environmental Education Vienna , the Austrian Working Group for Grassland and Livestock Farming (ÖAG), the Upper Austrian Bee Centre , the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna , and Natur.Werk.Stadt , a project of the Austrian Nature Conservation Association and the Styrian Employment Promotion Agency .
