The program includes four main blocks:
- Greening on and around the building : vertical and roof greening, sustainable rainwater management and practical greening examples.
- Greening of percolating areas : Use of green surfaces, gravel lawns, use of areas for biodiversity and greening of tram tracks.
- Field reports : Flowering areas in cities, regional wild plant mixtures and other practical reports.
- Knowledge transfer : Raising awareness of biodiversity, regional seed mixtures and activities to promote biodiversity.
The event is held in cooperation with the University of Agricultural and Environmental Education Vienna , the Austrian Association for Grassland and Livestock Industry (ÖAG), the Upper Austria Bee Center , the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna and Natur.Werk.Stadt , a project of the Nature Conservation Association and the Styrian Employment Promotion Agency carried out. These partnerships demonstrate the broad commitment and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote greening and biodiversity in public spaces.
