    Gumpenstein Greening Conference 2024

The Gumpenstein greening conference on the topic of " Site-appropriate greening in public spaces" will take place on April 24, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at
    the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein .

This event serves to impart knowledge on the long-term successful creation and maintenance of site-appropriate greening of roadside , facade and roof greening in urban and municipal environments, taking into account the ecological principles.

The program includes four main blocks:

    • Greening on and around the building : vertical and roof greening, sustainable rainwater management and practical greening examples.
    • Greening of percolating areas : Use of green surfaces, gravel lawns, use of areas for biodiversity and greening of tram tracks.
    • Field reports : Flowering areas in cities, regional wild plant mixtures and other practical reports.
    • Knowledge transfer : Raising awareness of biodiversity, regional seed mixtures and activities to promote biodiversity.

The event is held in cooperation with the University of Agricultural and Environmental Education Vienna , the Austrian Association for Grassland and Livestock Industry (ÖAG), the Upper Austria Bee Center , the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna and Natur.Werk.Stadt , a project of the Nature Conservation Association and the Styrian Employment Promotion Agency carried out.
