    Life farm4more - Meeting

On May 10th and 11th, the farm4more project team met at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein to discuss the results and strategies in the ongoing life project.

The four-year transnational LIFE-farm4more project examines strategies and technologies to reduce climate change in the areas of agriculture, animal nutrition and ocean use.

The aim of the project is to implement a green biorefinery to obtain protein from grassland feed for use in chicken and pig feed, as well as to use the resulting press cake for ruminants. The integration of organic agriculture as a producer of raw materials, the manufacturing process and the specific application of the organically certified feed generated are of central importance in the project.

In addition, the project involves the production and use of coal as a feed additive in order to measure the reduction potential of climate-relevant emissions and to show possibilities for storing carbon in the soil.
