    My goal in raising cattle is to have animals that are ideally suited to the business

    In this episode of “Agricultural Science – Knowledge Compact” Dr. Andreas Steinwidder with DIin Edina Scherzer about various aspects of cattle breeding. Ms. Scherzer is a research assistant at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein and is currently devoting herself, among other things, to the topic of organic cattle breeding . Proven approaches that arise for organic dairy farms in a breeding context are discussed and explained in detail.

    An educational project entitled “Organic Cattle Breeding” is currently running under the direction of Bio-Austria . The webinar series starts on July 31, 2024. Podcasts are also available in which Edina Scherzer talks to various experts. Workshops are also offered on farms.

    All participants have the opportunity to discuss various ideas about cattle breeding and their own approaches and to develop targeted mating suggestions directly in the stable.
