Siloschani Environmental protection in feed preservation

Agrotel's mobile drive-over silage cover system contributes to efficient resource use on farms. By using a multi-year film, the need for mesh and plastic films, which are disposed of after use, can be eliminated.

The Siloschani from Agrotel enables the multi-year use of a film specifically designed for covering drive-over silos. It offers an alternative to the conventional method of using multiple layers of disposable films and net covers. This use case will test whether the motorized winding system, used to handle the multi-year silage film, reduces workload and whether it affects the quality-determining parameters of the silage. Additional studies will determine the extent to which the overhanging canopy protects the cut surface from direct sunlight, precipitation, and other weather conditions.
