klimaaktiv is the BMK's Austria-wide initiative for active climate protection. The focus is on reducing greenhouse-relevant emissions in the areas of construction and renovation, renewable energy sources, transport and communities. The building sector is a central component of the climate protection initiative.
In addition to energy efficiency, the klimaaktiv quality mark assesses and evaluates the quality of planning and execution, the quality of the building materials and construction as well as key aspects of comfort and indoor air quality in a building. klimaaktiv Bauen und Renovation only awards buildings in Austria that are of particularly high quality in these areas.
The klimaaktiv certificate confirms the successful completion of the klimaaktiv plausibility check.
