FarmLife is used in the “Added Value Mountain Agriculture” project. This two-year EIP-Agri project (2022-2024) is a collaboration between farms, scientific institutions and business to highlight the achievements of mountain agriculture and increase its monetary value.

The team from the Eco-Efficiency Research Group of the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein supports the “Added Value Mountain Agriculture” project of the “ARGE Added Value Mountain Agriculture”. The aim of the project is to collect services from agricultural businesses that are currently not compensated for on the market (e.g. food security, genetic diversity, water storage) and to develop business models to market these services accordingly. With FarmLife, the data for the project can be collected in a structured manner. In addition to the classic analysis of eco-efficiency, “FarmLife Biodiversity” is also used. In this project, indicators for the individual company assessment of ecosystem services will also be tested for the first time.

30 agricultural businesses from the communities in the Kalkalpen National Park Region are taking part in the “Added Value Mountain Agriculture” project and are making their farm data available using the FarmLife tool and a supplementary survey.
