FarmLife is being used in the "Added Value of Mountain Farming" project. This two-year EIP-Agri project (2022-2024) is a collaboration between farms, research institutions, and businesses to highlight the benefits of mountain farming and increase its monetary value.

The team from the Eco-Efficiency research group at HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein supports the "Added Value Mountain Agriculture" project of the "ARGE Mehrwert Berglandwirtschaft" (Working Group for Added Value Mountain Agriculture). The project aims to identify the services provided by agricultural operations that are not currently compensated by the market (e.g., food security, genetic diversity, water storage) and to develop business models for marketing these services. FarmLife enables the structured collection of data for the project. In addition to the classic eco-efficiency analysis, "FarmLife Biodiversity" is also being used. Furthermore, this project will be the first to test indicators for the farm-level assessment of ecosystem services.

30 agricultural businesses from the municipalities of the Kalkalpen National Park region are participating in the "Added Value Mountain Farming" project and are providing their farm data using the FarmLife tool and a supplementary survey.
