Mob Grazing - A Dryland Grazing Strategy

Dry summer months and heat are challenges that pasture-based businesses face every year.

Around the world, drought is being defied with adapted plant populations and pasture strategies such as mob grazing. Especially in combination with forage production, mob grazing is a good way to prepare your crop for drought (high growth) and still use it efficiently (high stocking density). Animals can be used specifically to build up humus and high yields per hectare can be achieved (especially with beef cattle).

In the morning you will learn from international practical examples what you should pay attention to when implementing mob grazing. A master's thesis attempt on mob grazing will take place here on August 17, 2021 in cooperation with the Bio-Institut Raumberg-Gumpenstein.
