As in previous years, around 30 Bachelor and Master students from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences completed a week-long lecture seminar on “Special Grassland Management” at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein.
The focus of the seminar is on the practical examination of grassland farming. In addition to a well-founded crop cultivation assessment of the stocks, this also includes determining the yield and quality of the stocks as well as the representation of the most important material flows and the derivation of the necessary management from this.
The teaching and research operations of the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein as well as the selected excursion companies provide the ideal basis for giving students a deep insight into the broad spectrum of grassland management.
During this seminar, students experience an intensive examination of practical grassland management and can deepen the knowledge they have gained from the theoretical lectures and apply it in practice.
