The seminar focuses on the practical aspects of grassland management. This includes a thorough agronomic assessment of the stands, determination of yield and quality, a description of the most important nutrient flows, and the derivation of the necessary management strategies.
The teaching and research operations of the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, as well as the selected excursion farms, provide the ideal basis to give students a deep insight into the broad spectrum of grassland management.
During this seminar, students gain intensive experience in practical grassland management and can deepen their knowledge from the theoretical lectures and apply it in practice.
