General information
Due to the opening of our new biology institute building on Friday, September 17, 2021, we have decided to expand our program for agricultural colleges and higher vocational schools (HBL(F)As) to include a student day. We offer you the opportunity to immerse your class in our specialist areas within a well-organized framework. To this end, we are preparing 21 practical stations showcasing the latest research and invite you to customize your visit according to your specific needs and interests.
To participate, registration using the online registration form below is required. Based on your selection, we will create a customized program, which you will receive by email. Unfortunately, due to organizational constraints, the station-based learning format limits us to 20 classes – once this number is reached, we will have to close online registration. You can view and download the brochure with a brief description of the different stations and the program below. We look forward to seeing you!
Organizational matters
The event will take place regardless of the weather. Please bring appropriate clothing and rain gear! In case of heavy rain, some workshops will be moved indoors. The event will be conducted in accordance with the applicable COVID-19 regulations. We reserve the right to cancel the event at short notice.
Lunch will be served between 12:00 and 13:00. We are happy to offer you a light snack (two Leberkäse rolls or cheese rolls and apple juice for €5.00 per portion). Please indicate the number of snack packs you require on the registration form. You will be met directly at the bus stop, where you can purchase the number of meal vouchers you have registered for in cash.
Selection of specialist stations
Please select from the specialist stations listed in the registration form
-- a maximum of 3 from priority 1 (you definitely want to see)
-- and from priority 2 (would also be interesting).
Stations will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to replace overbooked stations with priority 2 specialist stations. A list of all available stations can be found in the registration form and in the program at the end of this article.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a local guide. He will accompany you to your chosen stations, which begin every half hour starting at 9:00 AM. Each presentation lasts approximately 20 minutes, with time in between to move to the next station.
We have one more treat for you: On this day you can visit the landscape museum of culture and nature of the Liezen district at Trautenfels Castle free of charge , featuring the special exhibition "Summit Storming - Styrian Expeditions to the Roof of the World"

This event will be held as a green event .
