Franz Waldenberger visited the organic farming site in Lambach/Stadl-Paura and found out about research in the field of legumes.

On June 19th, the President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Agriculture Franz Waldenberger visited the organic institute site in Lambach/Stadl-Paura. After a short introduction to the company, data and facts on cultures for direct nutrition were presented.

The legumes treated as part of the BioFieldFood project, such as lentils, beans and chickpeas, are of great importance for organic farmers as crops with a future and offer great potential in cultivation and, above all, direct marketing. Sweet potatoes were also a central crop in this idea and there was agreement about the diverse growth opportunities of new crops in cultivation for arable farms. During the field inspection that followed, many practical details of the crops visited - faba bean, lentil with mixture partner and dry bean - were discussed directly on the stands.
