    ClimSchool: Sustainable forestry and wood management for climate protection

    On January 23rd, 2020, a class from the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, accompanied by Dipl.-Ing. Josef Meierl and Dipl.-Ing. Renate Mayer took part in the 3rd workshop of the InnoForESt project on the topic of “Innovation in the regional “forest-wood” value chain” in Schlierbach.


    The aim of the workshop was to find creative approaches for better regional networking along the forest-wood value chain and to identify actors in this system. The students from HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein took part in the networking workshop with interest and knowledge from their own practice and thus helped in the concrete further development of ideas and concepts.
    The project team conducted interviews in advance and held group discussions and workshops in which the following topics emerged as particularly interesting. These subject areas include:

    • Furniture, design & region
    • Mobile wooden houses & tourism
    • Making forest & wood come alive
    • Networking and innovation platform


    At this third workshop, there was again a lot of discussion and ideas were collected. Everyone can use the project's homepage to get a good idea of ​​the process so far and the future plans and find out about opportunities for active participation.
