Recommendations from the AöLZ

For each breed you will also find bull recommendations from the Association of Austrian Life Performance Breeders (AöLZ). The first and most important selection criterion is the cow family, in which high lifetime performance is common! If a breeding bull later has a breeding value estimate (ZW) based on daughters that have completed three lactations or more, the ranking is first based on fitness (service life, persistence, cell count) and within such bulls based on the amount of fat and protein. We do not attach great importance to meat value in dairy cattle breeding.
