First of all, we would like to thank you for your interest in our conference “Emission assessment in livestock farming 2023”. With the current program design, we are building on the conferences from 2012 to 2022 and particularly want to provide a contribution, perhaps also assistance, for current and future construction and complaint procedures in connection with livestock farming in Austria.
To start the conference, we will traditionally give you a brief insight into the Austria-wide problem using current practical examples. Starting in 2022, with emissions surveys on poultry farms in practice, studies are currently ongoing on Styrian pig farms. Michael Kropsch will present the derived odor emission factors for poultry and
summarize the previous findings from the pig sector.
The medical expert plays an important role in the construction and complaint process. Ms. Dr. Andrea Kainz from the office of Stmk. The state government gives us an insight into the life of an expert when it comes to odor assessment. The topic of antibiotics accompanies the discussions surrounding livestock farming. Ms. Dr. Tina Kabelitz from the Leibniz Institute in Potsdam will explain the “One Health approach” to us. The HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein worked with research partners in an EIP-Agri project for two years to address the issue of animal welfare, emissions and heat stress in fattening pig farming and carried out extensive studies. A conference block with 5 lectures will present the results for the first time in the afternoon and put them up for discussion.
The event is aimed at appraisers, experts, companies, authorities, lawyers, consultants and practices alike and thrives on intensive professional discussion.
We warmly invite you and look forward to your registration!
