EU4Shepherds – training for shepherds on sustainable land use in Europe

Project goal: The HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein is a partner in the Erasmus+ project “EU4Shepherds – Innovative Training for Sustainable Shepherds”. The aim of this project is to work with partner institutions to design a Europe-wide coordinated training program for shepherds.

Institutions from Spain, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Great Britain and Germany are taking part in the project. Traditional and technically sound knowledge and the use of new technologies should be combined in order to competently meet the numerous challenges of sheep farming in the 21st century. As part of the project, in addition to a curriculum for this international training, a handbook for instructors and trainers and a digital training platform will also be developed.
