Lecture Dr. Bohner - Webinar series “Climate Fit Pielachtal”

Due to climate change, long periods of drought are likely to occur more frequently in large parts of Austria in the future.

The consequences are declining soil fertility and loss of income in agriculture. The storage capacity of grassland soil for water available to plants and the ability to influence it by humans will therefore become even more important.

In this YouTube video you will receive basic information about water in the grassland ecosystem, about the water cycle in the landscape and about the water storage capacity of our grassland soils. The video was filmed as part of the webinar series “Climate Fit Pielachtal – Our Soil”.
