Digitalization has become an integral part of our everyday lives and has long since found its way into agriculture. The greatest benefit of digitalization in agriculture is seen in an increase in yields, a significant reduction in the use of production resources and better compliance with environmental regulations.

As part of the “Digitization in Agriculture” cluster, the HBLFA is developing a concept and criteria for assessing environmental impacts when using digital technologies with the project partners UBA and AGES. By creating an environmental assessment concept, it should be possible in the future to assess the practical relevance of the use of digital technologies from an environmental perspective.
