After arriving in Wildenau at 9:30 a.m. we visited Kletzl Fleischwaren GmbH. Kletzl in the Innviertel has been preparing sausage products for more than 50 years, which can be purchased throughout Austria and Bavaria. On a production area of over 5,000 m², over 70 employees process an incredible 2,500 tons of meat and 50 million pastries every year. This gave us a good insight into the processing of raw meat into meatloaf, sausage and ham and was able to learn a lot of new things in production and quality assurance.
After strengthening ourselves with fresh meatloaf rolls, we continued our journey to St.Valentin to the CNH Industrial-Steyr works.
After lunch in the company canteen, the gates to the factory tour were opened for us. Every day around 46 tractors with 70-200 HP are built here in 3 different colors, because in addition to Steyr in red and white, Case in red and New Holland in blue are also manufactured here. We were given a great tour of the factory, were able to see every area of production and were able to watch the around 700 employees at work in production.
After arriving home in Raumberg at 6 p.m. we were able to look back positively on the very informative day in northern Austria.
