In teams of two, under the guidance of our specialist teacher, we were taught how to disassemble, clean, maintain and reassemble chainsaws.

It was also great that everyone had the opportunity to take their own chainsaw with them so they could get to know it better

The external parts were first removed and cleaned with compressed air and a resin cleaner. The air filter was then removed and cleaned. The bar, chain, clutch and starting device were then thoroughly serviced and cleaned.

This practical unit was very educational as it gave us a lot of new knowledge that most people can use to their benefit.
