Discover the potential of your farm

Our Department of Economics and Resource Management, led by Christian Fritz, MA, drives innovative projects to improve the sustainability of agricultural businesses. We work on developing innovative models and use comprehensive data analyzes to help optimize production processes in agriculture.

We strive to improve the efficiency, economics and environmental sustainability of agricultural practices. This includes:

    • Agricultural economics: We analyze market trends, price trends and operational metrics to enable farmers to make informed decisions to increase their profitability.
    • Environmental accounting: We carry out comprehensive environmental accounting to assess the impact of agricultural activities on the environment and identify ways to reduce negative impacts.
    • Model development and data analysis: By developing models and analyzing large data sets, we look for practical solutions for agriculture and make forecasts for future developments.
    • Sustainable business management: We support farmers in running their businesses sustainably by incorporating economic, social and ecological aspects into their decisions.

Our research projects cover a wide spectrum, from analyzing the agricultural economic situation to assessing the environmental impacts of digital technologies. We work closely with agricultural businesses, experts and society to develop practical solutions.
