- the space, building and machine requirements,
- the self-sufficiency of the companies,
- the production efficiency in milk production,
- the energy and CO 2 balance,
- the ecotoxicity,
- nitrogen eutrophication or also
- the number of people served by the company
FarmLife has been used successfully in agricultural practice for years and shows, for example, that Austrian dairy farms have comparatively low environmental impacts in a European context.
educational concept based on this farm management tool was also developed for the young generation for use at agricultural schools. Regular training courses for teachers, supervised by Mag. a Elisabeth Finotti as a research assistant in the Department of Economics and Resource Management and a member of the eco-efficiency research group at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, promote the integration of this knowledge into teaching.
