In addition to the theoretical content, this course places particular emphasis on practical learning of professional, functional hoof care and documentation as well as the safe use of hoof care tools and the different hoof care stands. The practical lessons take place in small groups under the guidance of certified hoof care instructors.
The course contents are: anatomy and biomechanics of the claws, five steps of functional claw care, tool knowledge, logging, feeding and husbandry, hygiene, animal protection and animal welfare, epidemics, occupational safety, work ergonomics and legal basics.
After successful completion of the basic course, the advanced course in inter-company hoof care be completed. (Dates for this will be announced soon!)

would like to carry out this activity as self-employed hoof trimmers on a cross-company basis, interested people
