International EUCARPIA trial on rust infestation of ryegrass

A new edition of this successful experiment is planned, expanding the range of varieties by 2 species and including all locations from the first experiment. The aim is to examine the continuity in the spatial occurrence of certain pathotypes, primarily yellow rust.

The HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein would also like to take part in this new edition with a test area and 2 Gumpensteiner varieties (bastard raygrass "Gumpensteiner", English ryegrass "Guru"). The experiment runs over a growing season with 4 cuts and a sampling of rust-affected material, which is sent to Reckenholz for precise determination.
