Aims and benefits of the pasture practitioner course
- The grazing course deepens the existing theoretical and practical grazing knowledge in cattle farming.
- In addition to the technical input, the “pasture schools” use an innovative consulting concept that enables prospective pasture practitioners to pass on the knowledge they have learned about pasture farming to agricultural businesses or professional colleagues in a practical manner.
- Cattle-rearing businesses receive targeted support in optimizing pasture farming.
Note for newcomers to Weide
For newcomers to pasture, special courses are offered by the advisory and research departments in the federal states. Please find out more about this from the organic advice centers in your federal state.
Speakers of the pasture practitioner course
Experienced pasture experts from research, consulting and practice from home and abroad.
Places of training
In 2020, a training course will be offered for the southern federal states (focus on Styria/Carinthia/partially Upper Austria) and the north-western federal states (focus on Upper Austria/Lower Austria/Salzburg).
On each “module day” we also visit pasture-raised farms – practical relevance is very important to us!
