New ÖAG information for agriculture - grazing young cattle

Optimal breeding is the prerequisite for healthy, productive and long-lived cattle.

To do this, the breeding conditions must be adapted to the different phases of development of the animal. The first year of life is crucial for building a good overall constitution; good pasture management can promote this. Particular attention should also be paid to parasites and their prevention.

The new 12-page ÖAG information from the Organic Agriculture Specialist Group summarizes the current state of knowledge and gives many valuable tips on keeping young cattle on pasture on dairy farms in their first year of life .
