Grand opening of the insect chalet village

At the Gröbming Technical School for Agriculture and Food Economics, the event took place on Friday, June 24th. A chalet village was ceremoniously opened.

Not for tourists, but for locals. A chalet village for native insects!

The HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein took care of the catering for the newly moved guests in cooperation with the technical school. For this purpose, an existing lawn was plowed up in the spring and a perennial flowering area made from local wild plants was created.

This already shows a rich bloom of the mixed annual field flowers and the menu offered, consisting of nectar and pollen from various flowering plants, is proving popular with the chalet residents.

    The table is set!
