The mower conditioner with wide swath storage

The forage harvest from grassland is tied to a short period of time, especially during the first cut, in order to achieve good forage quality. If short periods of good weather cannot be used, this usually means a delayed mowing date and an associated loss of quality for the forage. That's why the Pöttinger company developed a mower conditioner with an articulated tedder and wide swath deposit.

This was compared with a conventional mower with regard to the influence on the drying conditions in the field, the silage properties, the field losses and the power requirement on a mixed meadow location during the first and second cut.
