The fact that flowering strips make an enormous contribution to increasing biodiversity in the agricultural landscape and have potential in terms of natural plant protection has now been proven in research and in practice.

Among practitioners, on the other hand, there is still a certain amount of skepticism, ignorance and uncertainty when it comes to the advantages and disadvantages as well as flower strip management. Through close collaboration between science and practice, application-relevant knowledge is to be built up, thereby reducing uncertainty and skepticism. The concept of beneficial flower strips is tested using the example of aphids and legumes in organic cultivation, and the experiences and results gained are disseminated in science and practice (organic and integrated cultivation).
