    Feed evaluation and trial controlling

    The employees of this department work on different methods for assessing feed in ruminant nutrition. The focus is on the protein and energy assessment of individual feed components, as well as the digestibility assessment of overall rations. Another area of ​​this department includes the slaughter and cutting of laboratory animals in order to correctly record slaughter performance.

    • Daily dry matter determinations to determine feed intake
    • In vivo and in vitro feed evaluations for protein and energy evaluation
    • Assessment of protein and carbohydrate degradation according to the CNCPS system
    • Fecal examinations for ration control
    • Slaughter and cutting of animals (cattle, sheep and goats)
