Young Science Seal of Quality - Awarded in 2024

The Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and Austria's Agency for Education and Internationalization have awarded 46 schools with the seal of quality for research partner schools. The HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein can once again take part in the Champions League of Austrian schools. We have been awarded the Young Science seal of approval as a research partner school .

Martin Polaschek, Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research, and OeAD Managing Director Jakob Calice personally presented the badge of honor to DI Renate Mayer, Prof. Dr. Herwig Pieslinger and Lynn Thiermeyer, MSc.

We are characterized by the active involvement of our students in research processes . This is done by us

    • internal networking of research and teaching and especially with ours
    • external research partners at home and abroad.

These collaborations include entire school funds as part of (inter)national projects , science days and multi-day experimental workshops , student teams with diploma theses , special research internships and participation in scientific conferences .
Participation in interdisciplinary research projects is also anchored in the school profile and in research-oriented teaching offerings.

Statement of the jury - Young Science Seal of Quality 2024

The HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein lives research-education collaborations! The school is actively involved in a variety of projects in which students take on a lot of responsibility and which is also reflected in the high quality of the diploma theses (many awards and challenging topics).
The school is well and sustainably networked throughout Austria, but also internationally - as evidenced by the numerous cooperation agreements. With this basis, nothing stands in the way of future projects. The jury recommends that we continue on this path!
