Workshop to prepare for the Raumberg European Days 2022

Workshop to prepare for the Raumberg European Days 2022

In preparation for the European Days organized by the "European Days Board of Trustees" under the leadership of ÖkR President Franz Titschenbacher and the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein and taking place in November 2022, a workshop was held on April 6, 2022 under the moderation of Ms. Mag. Barbara Schiefer ( Managing Director of the LEADER Region Ennstag Ausseerland) took place in the Grimming Hall of the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein.

As part of this workshop we were able to meet Mr. KommR MMag. Martin Schaller, General direktor of Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark AGm. He gave an interesting lecture on the topic “Impact of the war in Ukraine on the banking landscape”. KommR MMag spoke about the impact channels of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, the factors influencing growth on the capital market, fiscal and interest rate policy and the effects in the customer area Martin Schaller addresses topics that were of great importance to our students in their preparatory work on creating the program. Mr KommR then answered MMag. Schaller answered questions from the students and created a high added value with his contribution as part of the preparations for the Europe Days 2022.

    Further steps in program creation

Pupils from all years worked on questions on the topic of “Europe” in detail and with very interesting ideas, concerns and expectations and presented them in an impressive way during the workshop. From this pool of concerns and expectations, the program for the Europe Days 2022 will now be concretized.

The intensive engagement with the topic of "Europe" also means dealing with issues that affect the entire world, so the students gain a broad perspective on economic, political and social issues.

A big thank you to Mr. KommR MMag. Schaller for his interesting lecture, to Ms. Mag. Schiefer for the successful moderation, to Direktor Dr. Gasteiner, Mr. DI Breitenbaumer and Mr. DI Pieslinger for their support of the students and of course to all the participating students whose contribution laid the foundation for finding a topic.
