“Welcome board Raumberg” - a welcome board

Since the school's old welcome board was removed a few years ago due to its poor condition, there was a great desire for a new welcome board and this project was suggested to the 4LW as a project idea as part of the project lessons.

The project “Willkomenstafel Raumberg – a welcome board” was implemented by nine people from the 4LW together with Prof. Luidold in the 2022/23 school year. The project idea came from the management and was suggested to us students at the start of school. We immediately agreed that we wanted to do this project and started planning.

Initially, things like creating an environmental analysis and a schedule were on the agenda. We designed an internal competition to collect as many ideas as possible. We compiled the best designs and presented them to the management. To our delight, one of the designs was approved and we began planning immediately.

Initially, offers from various companies were obtained for the individual components of the project. We made a cost statement and presented it to the management. The cost breakdown was also approved and we then contacted Mr. Seebacher from the Pilz company in Wörschach.

Plans were drawn up and work packages assigned. We then started excavating for the foundation. The frame of the board was made by the Pilz company, we concreted the foundation and a week later erected the frame with a crane and built a trench for power and data cables. All cables were inserted and the floor was leveled again. Finally, we attached the metal plaque with the greeting and completed all the work.

We would like to thank the school again and especially our project teacher for the great support with this project. We always made sure that we were able to solve problems and ambiguities ourselves. Nevertheless, we were always helped when questions arose.

The students of the project team - Bacher, Bauer, Baumgartner, Hörzer, Knauss, Marchl, Salzger, Sundl and Tauschmann - would like to thank you very much for this wonderful project.
