preparatory course was held at the school that imparted in-depth chemical knowledge. It quickly became clear via Moodle that the Olympiad required sophisticated specialist knowledge.
The ÖCHO state decision took place from April 22nd to 24th, 2024 in the BG/BRG Knittelfeld . Three students from HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein – Valerie Göttel, Christina Reschreiter and Georg Fallmann – took part.

The competition began on Tuesday with a three-hour written test, followed by the practical part in the afternoon, which spot tests and titrations . The highlight was the award ceremony on Wednesday morning.
All 42 participants were personally invited and awarded a book prize. Valerie Göttel and Georg Fallmann were honored alphabetically in the group from places 17 to 42. It was particularly pleasing that Christina Reschreiter achieved an excellent 13th place.

This participation was an important and enriching experience for everyone. It is hoped that a preparation course can take place again next year.
