Due to the prevailing situation, we are always allowed to visit a practice for a whole day. This week we had lessons in meat practice with Mr. Steiner.
In today's morning unit we first learned about the different types of sausages and then we started making bratwursts. We learned how to use the meat grinder, the cutter and the sausage syringe.
The most difficult job was filling the natural casings in the sausage syringe. But after a few tries it worked quite well. In the afternoon the production of meat loaf was on the agenda. Since we already knew the processes, it was no longer a big challenge for us.
At the end, the self-made products were tasted.
