The game was played in two groups of four and, unlike the 2019/20 championships, this time club players were also allowed to take part in the tournament. At that time, the boys from HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein took sensational first place and after the tournament was canceled last year due to corona, people were eagerly awaiting a performance comparison with the best players in Styria.
In the preliminary round, our boys beat HTBLA Kaindorf 1, BG/BORG HIB Liebenau 2, and BORG Monsbergergasse with 2-0 winning sets each. In the semi-finals, our school team was in top form and ultimately clearly defeated the team from the BG/BRG Köflach sports branch.
In an exciting final game played at the highest level, they fought a thrilling duel against the high-class team from BG/BRG/BORG Hartberg and only narrowly lost.
