Raumberg students give a lecture at the 7th Media Center Ausseerland

After our students left a very positive impression in open discussions last year, we were asked to take part in this high-profile event this year with an official contribution. Three students from the 4U class will give presentations.

From one crisis to the next? The reeling continent – perspectives and solutions for Austria and Europe

The corona virus triggered the biggest economic crisis in Europe since the Second World War: The pandemic has dramatically shown us the vulnerability of our market-based economic system and the European unification process. The viral global storm has still passed, but the effects on society, the economy, politics and tourism are dramatic. What prospects are there for Europe and Austria? What solutions do we need?

The pandemic has also brought globalization into disrepute and exposed the fatal dependencies in international supply chains, for example. What lessons do business and politics draw from this? How can Europe prepare itself better in an unstable world? What does the balance between economy and ecology look like in a practical test? How can mass unemployment in Austria and Europe be curbed? How can a comeback be achieved in tourism damaged by Corona, what does the industry need? How can media survive journalistically and economically? Is the Capital of Culture 2024 a unique opportunity for the Salzkammergut region or just hot air?

The 7th Media Center Ausseerland from 10th to 12th. June 2020 will not only diagnose problems but also offer solutions. International decision-makers and experts from business, tourism, media, politics and culture meet for three days in the Styrian Salzkammergut.

We look forward to exciting discussions and wonderful days in Ausseerland with you.
