At the beginning we stopped at the Fronius International GmbH location in Sattledt. There we were shown the individual steps leading up to the finished product, such as the inverter, on a guided tour through production. We were also introduced to the history of the successful company and the goals for the near future.
We continued to Taufkirchen an der Trattnach to the feed manufacturer Schaumann. When we visited the production facility, we were able to get an idea of how the raw materials are processed right through to the finished mineral feed or finished feed. During a “tasting” the individual components were examined closely. After lunch, the history of the company was presented. We were also informed about the areas of activity in feed production and the process of advising farmers.
Finally, there was a cheese tasting from Schlierbach Abbey's own organic monastery cheese dairy. In addition, the cheese dairy, the Schlierbach Madonna and the monastery library were presented in a guided tour through the historic walls. We were also enthusiastic about the history of the monastery and the magnificent Bernardi Hall.
