    End-of-school excursion to the Hohe Tauern National Park for 1U

    Our end-of-school excursion took the 1U students from July 3rd - 5th, 2023 to the Hohe Tauern National Park in Mallnitz or Obervellach.

    After arriving in Mallnitz we visited the NP visitor center BIOS, then we went to the nature trail in the Seebachtal.

    After the ascent with the Ankogelbahn, a small, motivated group climbed the Grauleitnspitz (2896 m), spending the night in the Hannoverhaus at 2545 m.

     Recurring floods of rain forced us to come up with creative solutions at the campsite in Obervellach next to the Möll, where we went on a great rafting tour on the last day.

    After a barbecue buffet we went back to Mallnitz to the train station and to the Raumberg homeland!
