    Crop rotation planning in class

After explaining the need to create varied crop rotations and teaching cultivation systems, the students were explained which rules apply to planning crop rotations.

Crop rotations are planned as a team, taking into account the variety of plant families, genera and species as well as the breaks in cultivation of self-incompatible plants. Cover crops or catch crop mixtures are planned into a main crop framework, which is to be assessed for its usefulness, taking into account the times of cultivation and harvest. These can be introduced as stubble seeds or undersown crops. The use of catch crops must be specified (biogas plants, flowering areas, green manure, fodder plants, grazing, bee pasture, frost-free mulch, etc.). The results of the group work on agricultural production are presented and discussed with the whole class.
