A great range spanned from Handel's "Fireworks Music" from 1749 and Julius Fučík's "Florentine March" to modern concert favorites such as the "Bohemian Dream", conducted by DI Peter Schweiger and Dr. Helmut Kalss. Both are trained bandmasters and took turns conducting.
A highlight was the rousing US march "Stars and Stripes" by John Philipp Sousa, where our American language assistant Kaylee McCarthy played the trombone.
The enthusiastic audience - pupils, students, parents and relatives as well as teachers - received a few encores before the choir with DI Othmar Breitenbaumer played some popular pieces such as yodels or gospels as a transition to "Tanzlmusi".
Music and Raumberg simply belong together:
music is an optional subject in our school. Pupils of all years play in the Raumberg school music, and teachers, staff and graduates are always present at the performances.
