Admonter acoustics class in Raumberg-Gumpenstein

At the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, a classroom (2L year) has currently been into an acoustics class Admonter Holzindustrie AG . After a simulation calculation, special acoustic and absorber elements were manufactured by carpenters from Admonter Holzindustrie AG and installed on the back wall and ceiling of the classroom.

These innovative products developed by Admonter made it possible to create both an exceptional room acoustics and a more pleasant visual climate .

First, an on-site measurement of the prevailing room acoustic properties of the classroom was carried out, specifically in the form of its reverberation times. A simulation calculation based on these measurement data provided the absorber sizes required for acoustic optimization and their positioning in the room. According to these plans, two types of acoustic elements were installed on the ceiling and one wall of the classroom by carpenters from Admonter Holzindustrie AG during the summer holidays.

A similar simulation calculation tool is also offered free of charge by Admonter. This can be used to pre-dimension for the acoustic optimization of a wide variety of room situations.

Last school year, we, especially the students in the back row, often had difficulty understanding the teacher because their words were drowned out by other sounds in the environment.

Thanks to the new wooden panels from the company “Admonter”, the acoustics in our class have improved significantly, disturbing noise is absorbed and you can concentrate better on the lesson.
Plus, the new wood look looks pretty cool, which is why other classes envy us for it.

Future collaborations with the innovative company Admonter, in which some Raumberg graduates are already successfully employed, will include excursions and corresponding diploma theses in this highly specialized wood processing area.
