The Austrian Board of Trustees for Agricultural Technology and Rural Development (ÖKL) has reissued the brochure “Rare Farm Animal Breeds”.
The now 5th edition has been completely updated and supplemented (ÖKL series LTS 231). With 42 breed profiles, from the Sulmtaler chicken to the Noriker to the Turopolje pig, information about maintenance breeding, gene conservation programs, funding opportunities in the current ÖPUL program and much more.
The Institute for Organic Agriculture and Livestock Biodiversity played a key role in this brochure as part of the management of ÖNGENE.
