After a warm welcome and an introduction to our research facility by Dr. Johann Gasteiner, we had the opportunity to present innovative projects in the area of grassland management Particular attention was paid to research into the effects of climate change , which was explained in detail during the visit to the ClimGrass facility. We also focused on the application of modern technologies to optimize grassland management .
There were also exciting insights into our research in the field of livestock farming . New feeding strategies were presented and research questions relating to emissions from animal husbandry were discussed.
In order to give our guests a better understanding of agricultural practice , we took a trip to the Hager family's mountain dairy farm in Vorberg, Aigen im Ennstal.
During the entire visit and the intensive exchange of experiences, we had the opportunity to discuss different perspectives on Austrian agriculture and visit successful projects and companies. It was an extremely enriching encounter in which we were able to exchange valuable experiences and insights.
