Following a warm welcome and an introduction to our research institution by Dr. Johann Gasteiner, we had the opportunity to present innovative projects in the field of grassland management . Particular emphasis was placed on research into the effects of climate change , which was explained in detail during the visit to the ClimGrass facility. We also focused on the application of modern technologies for optimizing grassland management .
Furthermore, there were exciting insights into our research in the field of livestock farming. New feeding strategies were presented and research questions surrounding emissions from animal husbandry were discussed.
To give our guests a closer look at agricultural practices , we took a trip to the Hager family's dairy farm in Vorberg, Aigen im Ennstal.
Throughout the visit and the intensive exchange of experiences, we had the opportunity to discuss different perspectives on Austrian agriculture and to visit successful projects and farms. It was an extremely enriching encounter during which we were able to exchange valuable experiences and insights.
