The aim of our event was to report on the topic of A2 milk in a neutral manner and from the perspective of the industries involved in the production chain. It was not the aim of the event to push A2 Milch or to badmouth “not A2 Milch”.
The national and international speakers covered an exciting technical spectrum from producers/farmers to cattle breeding to Austrian A2 pioneers as well as from trade to the processing industry/dairy. The current scientific results on the health assessment of A2 milk were presented centrally and it can be concluded that A2 milk cannot be specifically recommended. However, it remains to be seen whether the market and thus production will be based on these scientific findings or whether there are other mechanisms and reasons for a new product like A2 milk to establish itself on the market.
